The objective of this Handbook is to provide a framework that will significantly improve the value and outcomes from remote learning and other virtual discussions. Please note that the term Remote or Virtual Session in the text refers to any live activity that is performed online with participants joining from various locations. It includes Teleconferences, Webinars, Video Conferences or any other means of getting a number of people together at the same time with the opportunity for all participants to interact. Cases of online training that strictly include a single individual choosing to participate at their own pace, at any time of day and for as long (or short) as they like are not included in this discussion.

- If more time is necessary, split or separate session, either the same day with time in between to allow individuals to take care of daily responsibilities, or on different consecutive days.
- Every session should include a specific preparation outline or document clearly depicting the objectives, topics and specific questions/reflections every participant need to prepare.
- Any pre-work is completed prior to joining the session by all participants.
- Facilitation has to be dynamic and continually respecting the planned topics.
